A Note for our EU/UK Backers

Hey EU Backers,

We're sad to say it, but it looks like we are going to have a small delay with our fulfillment for the EU/UK. We're very sorry for the delay here at the end, it can be frustrating to wait at the finish line. We just received an update on the fulfillment process from our partner. The games arrived at their center on October 2nd due to a small customs delay. They said that they will begin sending the games out by the end of the week. For most of you, this won't mean anything other then you have to wait a few more days for your copies. But, due to these unforeseen circumstances, there may be some copies available in retail before everyone receives their Kickstarter copies. International fulfillment is one of the tougher parts of board game publishing, and unfortunately, the timing is a little bit off for our EU/UK backers. We will keep you all updated as we learn anything new from our partner. 

The team here at Grey Fox is looking forward to celebrating everyone having their copies of the game!

Shipping and After the Empire

Hey backers!

We just wanted to let you all know that there are reports of the game being received out in the wild! This picture comes from a US backer who has already delved deep into their game. We would love to see more pictures of you all playing!

The other regions still remain on schedule so at this point we are almost to the finish line. We are thrilled with all of your support and can't wait to get some more plays of the game here in the office

After the Empire 

We also wanted to give a brief shout out to our current kickstarter campaign After the Empire. We are hitting the final stretch now and think that some of you might really like the game. It is a worker-placement game set in the Medieval ages. You each rule your own small fiefdom, and are trying to grow it and make it more prosperous throughout the game. The key, is that there are invaders, hordes of enemies roam the countryside and will attack players based on how much wealth their kingdom holds.

This is a project that we are really excited about. The game looks amazing when it is all set up with all the castles, soldiers, and invaders on the board.

Shipping Update

Hey backers,

We saw that you all were asking for some updated information in the comment section and wanted to keep you all in the loop on where your games are.

USA

These games are at the fulfillment center and should begin shipping either tomorrow or the next day. 

Canada

The product arrived at the fulfillment center today. They should begin shipping early next week. 

Europe

The ship will arrive at the port on September 19th and is scheduled to clear customs by the 23rd. This means that fulfillment should begin by the end of next week. 

Rest of World 

This boat arrives at its destination on September 21st and the fulfillment of these games should also begin by the end of next week.

US/Canada/Everywhere Else Games Have Arrived

Hey War of the Words backers,

This is primarily for US and Canada backers and anyone whose shipping was classified under "Everywhere Else".

Now that Labor Day is over and things are back up and running, shipments are starting to come in including... this one!

This was also our first time getting our hands on the massive playmat that will soon be heading out to backers who got that pledge level.

So what now? It depends on where you are and what you ordered.

US Games

This is the largest group of orders and will be going out in two sections. For most orders, those copies will be shipped later this week to a fulfillment partner so they can package them all up and get them out the door. For anyone in the US who had a non-War of the Worlds-related add-on (something like Champions of Midgard), those games will be coming your way directly from our warehouse in St. Louis. We hope to have those shipped and out the door by the end of next week.

Canada Games

These are being shipped out to a fulfillment partner in Canada to send to individual backers. We'll have a better timeline once they're out the door.

Everywhere Else

These games are shipping on the same timeline as the US ones being shipped with non-WotW add-ons. They'll be sent out using FedEx International Mail Service.

Worldwide Shipping Update - How To Play

Hey War of the Worlds backers!

A few updates to share with you towards the tail end of this month...

Worldwide Shipping Update

United States/Canada/Everywhere Else

These games are off the boat and currently on the rails. They're due to arrive here in St. Louis on Thursday, though it's possible we won't have them in our hands until early next week as they still have to make their way from the railyard to our warehouse.  I'd anticipate orders will start going out in the next couple of weeks.

Europe

The latest date we have for this shipment to arrive in port is September 12th. The boat name we've been given is the Cosco Shipping Libra. We'll keep you posted.

Australia/New Zealand

This shipment is on the Xi Chi Wan and is due to arrive in port September 11th.

How to Play

In preparation for the games starting to ship out, we've made a short How To Play/rules video that's embedded above for your viewing pleasure. There's a QR code on the rulebook linking to this as well so it's super easy to find for when you're sitting down with the game.
